something to suit everyone!
Palavas has a beautiful sandy beach, and the flat is only

ago.
You can enjoy the fishing town around the canalized River
Lez. Palavas is also busy and modern with lots of restaurants
and shops.
Palavas is situated right between the Mediterranean
Sea and the lagoons (étangs). You can sunbathe and
swim and enjoy water-sports or just go for a bird-watching
trip and see all the pink flamingos (Contact the tourist office
for tours).
Festivals in Palavas:
2nd Sunday in July: Fete de la mer, religious procession and
blessing of fishing boats, jousting, fireworks and tauromachie.

Where to eat
Le Phare de la Méditerranée: The most outstanding
restaurant in Palavas is a converted water tower that rotates
very slowly to give you a beautiful panoramic view of the
area - go early evening to see it both in light and when it
is lit up at night. The menu contains mostly fish dishes.
There is also a bar.
